Check out Tour Dates for Rooney's current U.S. dates and grab tickets
to a show (or more!) If you've gone to any shows, please get in touch to submit reviews or pictures.
I always love to hear from you!

The Graphics Archive has been updated. I have also noticed some issues in the Gallery with the display of preview images. I am working on fixing
this, but in the meantime, the images themselves should all work. If a preview image shows up as a red "X", just go ahead and click and it should still open. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
If you have a chance to see Rooney on this tour, please send in any photos or reviews you may have!

New photos have been added from Rock am Ring. Jenny L. has also been kind enough to scan in Rooney's spread in Details magazine.
|
I have added some photos of Ned at the 'Climb Against the Odds' Benefit and Taylor at the Quintessentially/Margherita Missoni Party at the Cannes 2008 Film Festival. Thanks to Adriana
for sending some of those over! I would also like to thank those of you who have sent in photos of Taylor and Mischa together, but I'd like to take this opportunity to say that I
don't post any paparazzi photos of the band out of respect for their privacy. I will post official photos taken at various events, but no candid shots.
Some of you may have also noticed that the Street Team is back up and running. I have been given the opportunity to
run it and hope to get it back up to what it used to be. If you have any suggestions or questions, feel free to get in touch.

Scans have been added from the April/May issue of Kewl Magazine, and an advance look at the spread that will show up in the next issue of Details (hitting newsstands on June 3, 2008) has been added as well. It's a fantastic new photoshoot, so make sure and pick up a copy!

A while back, we had received news about Robert teaming up with a group called Clique Girlz to work on some songs. A little bit more digging brought up this information in their Myspace biography:
"Songs like "Then I Woke Up," written by John Shanks and Kara DioGuardi, introduces the trio's fun outlook with nods to "rock, hip-hop, bling and Dr. Phil." The track was produced by Robert Schwartzman and John Fields (Pink and Switchfoot)."
This was also found in a blog on the Radio Disney website:
"We wrote a song with Robert from Rooney and John Fields who produced the Jonas Brothers. It is such a fun song. It is called "Superficial" and it is really upbeat. We had so much fun writing it."
"Then I Woke Up" is posted on the Clique Girlz Myspace.

Help promote Rooney's upcoming Calling The World Tour 2008 by distributing the flyer below (click for a full-size version):
The white space at the bottom has been provided for you to fill out the date of the show, the venue, and any other information you think would be helpful. Post this flyer
all over your city to help get the word out about the shows! The flyer has been designed to fit on 8 x 10 paper so you can easily print it out at home.
For a complete list of dates and links to buy tickets, visit Tour Dates. Some dates have pre-sales
running right now. I have provided links for those shows. With every ticket purchase through the pre-sale, you will be eligible for a pair of Meet & Greet passes to the show.
I have also added some great pictures from the show at the Luxor in Cologne and the live radio show in the 1LIVE Salon, also in Cologne.

On April 28, Rooney will be heading out on the road with The Bridges and Locksley for the first leg of their U.S. tour, which will run through May 8. They then get to be home for
a few short weeks, then head over to Europe for a few more shows, and then come back to tour the U.S. again until mid-August! I get exhausted just looking at the schedule, but
all the dates have been posted in Tour Dates with all the ticket information that I can find so far. If you see a date without a ticket link and can
help me out, I'd really appreciate it!
Isabell was kind enough to send me some AMAZING pictures from the April 17 show at the Luxor in Cologne, so I've put those up in the Gallery
for everyone to enjoy.

For those who have been wondering what is going on with the Street Team, here is an update from the band:
"If you'd like to belong to the Rooney Street Team (RST), here's what you need to do:
Send all of your info to:
cassidy@soundmgt.com
We need your full name, the city and state you are located in, phone number (if you feel comfortable). If you're wondering what it means to be on the RST, I'll fill you in. It's all about spreading the Rooney love. You can make posters, stickers, pins, decorate your car, etc. Anything that will give people info about Rooney. We have a tour coming up this summer and we need help promoting the shows. It takes more than just an ad in the weekly newspaper and some flyers. It takes dedicated fans who will work the streets and build the band up in a organic way.
Cassidy will select a team captain in each city. The team captain is someone who can put in more time organizing how things will work in that city. Similar to how a quarter back calls the plays on the football field. If you'd like to be the team captain, then please let us know. We know a lot of you work or are in school and can't dedicate too much time to the RST. For those of you who can, your help is greatly appreciated!
And if you're located outside of the US, we still want you on the RST. There's a lot of work to be done in this crazy old world and it's up to all of us.
Thank you,
Rooney"
The guys also need your help to keep climbing the chart on Radio Disney. They're currently 24 on the Top 30 Countdown! Head on over and let Radio Disney know how much you want
to hear Rooney!
As for site updates, I am always updating the Tour Dates (with their summer dates hopefully being announced soon), and I have added a ton of pictures
from the concert at the Vega in Copenhagen. Thanks to Pia for sharing those!

THIS WEEK: 28/30
Rooney is getting regular airplay on Radio Disney and needs your help to keep climbing the charts! This week they are #28 on the Top 30 Countdown, so visit
Radio Disney and let them know that you want to hear "When Did Your Heart Go Missing (RD Edit)"!
CURRENTLY: #2
The Italian music channel AllMusic has added "I Should've Been After You" to their rotation and it is currently sitting at #2!
Pay them a visit and let them know you love this video!

As Rooney's tour with The Jonas Brothers comes to an end and the guys get set to head over to Europe to play some shows with Good Charlotte and also do some headliners, dates
have begun to trickle in for their U.S. headlining tour which will start at the end of April. Rooney has chosen two great bands, Locksley
and The Bridges, to head out on the road with them. Right now we have dates until May 8, so check out
Tour Dates for all the information.

ShowMeTheSetList.com is a great new site designed to consolidate solely fan submitted materials from concerts, including setlists, reviews, pictures, and more! The site
currently lacks content from Rooney shows, so pay them a visit if you have any that you want to share. This is a great way to discuss with other fans specific shows that you have
attended. A big thanks to Corey for getting in touch to let me know about this great new resource!
For those of you who can't make it out to a show on this sold out tour, Rooney is playing a few acoustic shows at the Hard Rock Cafe in Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, and Washington.
Visit Tour Dates for the dates, times and locations.

In a January 30, 2008 blog on their Myspace, the Clique Girlz posted an interesting update for their fans:
"We were rehearsing this week in Burbank in the studio right next to the Jonas Brothers. They are so nice. Nick was too busy banging on the drums, but Kevin and Joe stopped by to say hi. We did our first show almost three years ago with the Jonas Brothers and the Backstreet Boys. We just finished a new song with the Jonas Brothers Producer, John Fields and Robert Schwartzman from Rooney. It is sooooo awesome! We hope you all like it as much as we do."
I could not find an official release date for this album, but hopefully more information will be available soon.

I have been working hard to get all the ticket links up in Tour Dates. I also added a show on March 6 at The Roxy Theatre, which is a benefit for
Brandon Schantz:
"Come join ROONEY, BRETT DENNEN, GRAHAM COLTON and LISA DONNELLY as they team up to celebrate the life and memory of someone very loved on the Rooney team. The tragedy of the death of a young and talented man is being turned into a true celebration of his life! We invite you to come join us as some of the hottest musicians rock out for a cause. All proceeds are being donated to The Brandon Schantz Memorial Endowment at The University of Texas."
Some new pictures have been added to the Gallery from the video shoots of I Should've Been After You
and Are You Afraid?
Thanks to Adriana for letting me know that "Stay Away" is featured on yet another compilation album! This one was created by Virgin Radio Italia, and is entitled "Style Rock". They share the CD with other artists
such as 30 Seconds To Mars, The Hives, Kaiser Chiefs, The Fratellis, and more! Visit Virgin Radio for the complete
track listing.

It has been confirmed that Rooney is touring in Europe with Good Charlotte, so Tour Dates have been updated to include the new dates. I am working on getting ticket links up for all the shows. Some are
already sold out, so if your show isn't, act fast! It should be another great tour for the band to get more exposure to a totally different crowd.
New concert photos have been added to the Gallery, thanks to Lauren! Those are from the Stony Pony
in Asbury Park, NJ in August of 2007.
A few new Livejournal icons have also been added to the Graphics Archive.

"When Did Your Heart Go Missing?" is featured on a new CD which promotes the new Nike Zoom Jasari+ shoe. This CD is available for purchase through
iTunes.
"This Zoom Jasari+ Mixed Run, available only through Nike Sport Music on iTunes, provides the
perfect introduction to the most feared shoe on both oval and pavement. Famed punk rock
drummer Travis Barker's pummeling remix of Soulja Boy Tell 'Em's hip-hop dance hit "Crank That"
forms the thunderous core of a workout as rewarding as it is demanding. Swedish garage-rock
rebels the Hives trigger three high-speed kicks - fast-paced intervals that hone overall speed
and endurance - with their raucous "Tick Tick Boom." Warm-up and recovery tracks like Maroon 5's
tough-but-smooth "Wake Up Call" and the Fratellis' saucy "Chelsea Dagger" keep the intensity
high as you push through a workout designed to help you get the most out of Jasari's slipper-like
fit and agile aggression."

The Tour Dates have been updated again, as Rooney has been confirmed on the Jonas Brothers tour until March 22. There are also a couple other exciting
stops along the way, including the Grammy Awards and the GM Commitment Auto Show! I have not confirmed yet if Rooney will be performing at the Grammys, but stay tuned for more
information!
There's also been rumours flying about Rooney touring with Good Charlotte in Europe. This is not yet a 'done deal', so if you're not that into Good Charlotte, you may want to
hold on on getting tickets (although some shows have already sold out, so it's all up to you)!
|
I have updated Discography with cover art from 'I Should've Been After You' and 'Are You Afraid?'. 'I Should've Been After You' is available to
buy on iTunes now. It also includes Rooney's cover of 'Forever Young'!
If you're going to be seeing Rooney with the Jonas Brothers, please get in touch and let me know how things are going for the guys! You can also submit photos for the gallery. It
would be really appreciated! Check Tour Dates for the full listing.
|
Rooney is heading out on tour again with The Jonas Brothers! Unfortunately, a lot of the shows are already selling out, so check out the Tour Dates
section to find a show near you and see if there's still tickets available!
|
For those of you who have not yet seen it, the video for "Are You Afraid?" is now out! You can go ahead and view it here.
Unfortunately, I've been told it's not viewable outside the U.S. However, I'm in Canada and have had no problems, so take a crack at it wherever you are. If you can't see it there,
Pia has got it up over on YouTube. The quality is not 100%, but it's great for those who might miss out otherwise!
As well, the video for "I Should've Been After You" has been put into rotation on VH1, and is at #12 this week on the VSpot Top 20 Countdown. Be sure to head on over and
vote for the video to get it to #1!
