The Odeon
Cleveland, OH
Two of
my friends and I drove an hour on a school night to see Rooney.
This was our first Rooney concert ever and we were excited. We got to
Cleveland and were getting out of the car when we first saw the first
members of Rooney emerge from their bus. We ran across the street to see
if they would take a couple of pictures, and Robert said he would. His
manager (I think) kept telling him he had to eat, but he was nice enough
to pose for two pictures and to promise more later. We waited outside for
about an hour and a half for the doors to open at 7:00. When we got
inside, my friends and I got t-shirts (which sold out later on) and a
signed copy of their CD. We waited around a little. There were only about
70 people or so there, so it wasn't crowded at all. AM Radio took the
stage and performed about six or seven songs and then Feeder performed
about that many as well.
Finally, after waiting impatiently, Rooney took the stage and
rocked.
They were amazing. They performed every song off of their new album and
another one I hadn't heard before. All of the guys performed well and
seemed into the music. Robert sang clearly and Taylor played some great
solos. Everyone did a fantastic job and made the trip worthwhile. The
concert ended (too quickly) at 10:00 and everyone was kicked outside to
wait for Rooney. We waited about half an hour and finally all of the guys
came out. We got pictures with all of them and got them to sign the
posters we had torn down from the wall. They were so nice to their fans. I
definitely can't wait for Rooney to come back to Cleveland, which will
hopefully be soon.
