House of Blues
Anaheim, CA
My friends and I arrived
at the House of Blues in Anaheim at about noon. The show started at 8pm so
we waited a long time, though it was worth it. Robert, Taylor, and Ned
were eating at the House of Blues restaraunt before the show and Robert
talked with us briefly which was really nice. The guys from Feeder were
hanging around also.
Finally when we were let in the venue, we rushed up to the stage and got
in the very first row. AM Radio played, then Feeder, then finally Rooney.
We were directly in front of Taylor. The band started out with Shakin and
flowed nicely in Terrible Person. Then they played Stay Away and If It
Were Up To Me. Next they introduced a new song called Love Is Not A Game
which was REALLY good. It had a great beat. They played Daisy Duke and
then Losing All Control. During Losing All Control, Taylor's guitar was
experiencing technical difficulties, so he missed his solo which sucked.
After they got it fixed he shrugged to the audience and said "This band is
totally professional" under his breath :). Robert introduced Simply
Because next which was REALLY fun because the whole crowd swayed and
jumped up and down. Then Robert asked the audience if they had any
requests and people started screaming like crazy. He looked up at the
balcony and asked them for requests. I heard many people screaming "The
Floor" but he said, "Okay I heard about 8 Bluesides" so they went into
Blueside. Next was Here Today, Gone Tomorrow and then Popstars. That is
when they left the stage.
The crowd kept screaming and chanting "Rooney!" so they did an encore.
They introduced another new song called "Hang Up On Me" and went into That
Girl Has Love. The last song of the night was Sorry Sorry, and was so full
of energy! They thanked everyone for coming out, said it was great to be
home, and left.
We had Meet & Greet passes so we got stuff signed after the show and
chatted with them for a few minutes which was nice. Someone asked Taylor
what shampoo he uses, and he responded "None." Robert said "One that kills
bugs." I also got a setlist, hence the exact order of the songs
played...:D
We bought a load of merch and finally left at 1:30am. It was a long day,
but one of the bests!
