Q: Which Rooney song is the most fun to play, and why? (Blueside is the most fun to watch you play)

A: I love playing our new songs cuz their still so fresh to me obviously! As far as songs on the record go, daisy duke is a really fun guitar solo and so is simply because.....the harmonies is stay away are really fun.......but the biggest treat of the night is that girl has love because I get to play slide guitar, use some interesting effects, and sing some nice harmonies.

Q: Describe your weirdest experience on this tour (that you can).

A: Everything on tour is weird. The idea of walking around Louisville Kentucky on a Sunday night in the heat, nothing to do and sick as a dog and then weeks later being at home sitting in front of my computer answering this is weird as hell to me.

Q: Rooney is a very Californian band -- I was wondering how do you think other famously Californian bands like The Beach Boys, The Doors, The Grateful Dead, and The Eagles, all very different sounding bands, relate to you? As the band and personally?

A: We love the Beach Boys......the eagles are nice but I don't take them as seriously as some people do. I don't like to speak of them in the same breath as the Beatles or Beach Boys. California is a great place for music and culture in general....I wouldn't trade my upbringing here for anything.

Q: In the middle of this tour the CD came out, have you noticed a difference in the audience before and after the CD release?

A: Of course. The shows you saw unfortunately were two of the lowest attendance. After the record came out, the gigs got wilder every night. We had a great time headlining and can't wait to do it again.

Q: Will you guys put out some of the older Rooney songs on future albums, or will it be all new stuff from here on out?

A: Who knows? We want to brush up some old songs and record them...as far as what will be on our next records, only time will tell....its much too soon to think about which 12 songs will make it.

Q: Do you prefer really small venues or large ones, and why?

A: Both have their purposes and can be equally rad. A more appropriate question would have been do you prefer opening or headlining? Here's what I'd say to that......opening is amazing because you play to huge audiences (like Weezer's or the Strokes'), you get to shave your set down to your absolute best 30 minutes, the crew are very professional and helpful, and there are luxuries such as catering. However, headlining is amazing because you get to see your name at the top of the marquee, go on last (which is often nice and late too), you get to play the entire album plus whatever you want, often do an encore, and control the atmosphere of the night (such as house music played between acts, and lighting). Its very important for a band to go back and forth between these two types of tours and that is what we plan to do.

Q: Ok I'm very into computers so I have to ask you, what kind of computer do you use?

A: I'm not into computers but I have a G4 laptop. However, right now I'm using my mom's PC.
