Rooney Feel The Heat

Hailing from sunny California, indie rock band Rooney are set to enter the world of film once again. With member Robert Carmine tackling acting as well as singing, and an appearance on television’s The OC, Rooney are no stranger to the medium. This time though, the focus will be completely on the band and their music.

Slated for release in mid-November is a live DVD of Rooney rocking their rock’n’roll hearts out. Appropriately titled ‘Spit and Sweat’, the gigt filmed for the DVD was staged in Los Angeles in the heat of a summer night. In addition to the live performance, ‘Spit and Sweat’ also features behind-the-scenes footage which goes back two years to Rooney’s beginnings. Fans can also expect a photo section included on the DVD.

Clips also taken from Rooney’s show at the Wiltern in LA are available for viewing at www.rooney-band.com.

Influenced by melodic rock giants like The Beach Boys and Electric Light Orchestra, Rooney are reviving the dreamy pop sound of the ‘60s for a new generation. Sporting both the look and the sound of the era, Rooney have released one album to date. Dropped in mid-2003, the self-titled debut includes the tracks ‘I’m Shakin’’, ‘Blueside’, and ‘Losing All Control’.
